David Chikere

David Chikere was born in Nigeria in 1984 and discovered his passion for art at a young age. He studied Fine and Applied Arts at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, where he honed his craft and developed his signature style of blending reality with surrealism.

His works often depict dreamlike landscapes, mythical creatures, and abstract figures, exploring themes of identity, culture, and spirituality.Chikere's works have been exhibited in various galleries in Nigeria, Europe, and the United States, including the Smithsonian National Museum of African Art in Washington D.C.

He has also won several awards and recognitions, including the 2019 African Art Award for Best Surrealist Artist.
